PROGRAM OF THE STAY:
Day 1
14 p.m.: Arrival at the amethyst house.
During the afternoon, the participants discover the amethyst of Auvergne in all its facets, from raw stone to jewellery.

2 highlights around the Amethyst:
First of all, you go for a walk of about 2 km to discover one of the seams of the first deposit in Europe, jewels of Livradois-Forez. Adrien, your guide, tells you the signs of the presence of Amethyst and the formation of veins. Once on site, it's time to observe and collect a few pieces of the precious purple quartz.
Then, back at La maison de l'Améthyste, Adrien offers you an introduction to gem cutting, this interplay between matter and light that reveals the purity of fine and precious stones.
It's up to you to make your costume jewel in Auvergne amethyst thanks to your dexterity and the use of a diamond abrasive block.

You will leave with your pierced stone mounted as a necklace or keychain in addition to the few rough stones collected on the vein.
