Blogger Ghislaine from Magicorangeplasticbird returns here on hiking in the Madet valley. She was well escorted that day by mosquitoes.

An extract from the Madet valley to discover on the blog:

"Forest, water, a humidity rate close to 100% with the mosquitoes that go with it, a few castles on the horizon, this is what awaits you on this short hiking route of about 8 km, from near Egliseneuve-près-Billom in Livradois-Forez. It was terrible weather. However, we are in July. But it's green. It is the least we can say. »

"It's a pretty wild hike with a major difficulty, linked quite a bit to the weather of the day: endless steps in logs that you have to take to descend into the valley, and which are particularly tricky, slippery like wet bars of soap on a steep slope. Zouiiiip! Another small nuisance to report, the environment of the Madet is extremely humid, tropical jungle style, so it's pretty, there's moss everywhere which covers everything like in "The castle in the sky", but I came out of there with some good mosquito bites. Bzzzz! »
