Ghislaine et le Bois de Pierre Blanche

The Livradois-Forez is more than 2500 km of marked trails. For city dwellers who would like to be reassured, blogger Ghislaine de magicorangeplasticbird walked one of the hiking trails: that of Pierre Blanche wood.

A hike in the heart of Livradois-Forez

She returns here on the hike in the wood of Pierre Blanche at La Chapelle-Agnon, in "wild Livradois".

An excerpt from the blog:

“La Chapelle-Agnon, in the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park, has a beautiful vein of quartz, mined in quarries, hence the name of this hike. It is also a good address for jams and honey, Cauldron of Fournioux, and if I invite you to go there, I also encourage you to take a look at their website to see what they do NOT offer on site. I love when the locavore comes out of its hinges! If that takes you too far, Clermont stores are resellers, in particular L'Eau Vive rue Fontgiève. It's good, organic, local and hiking passes close to the workshop. "

“Let’s come to this hike precisely. About 10 km with a drop of 300 m, no big difficulty and a nice variety of landscapes. And since we are in the Livradois, you will probably not meet anyone, which was our case on July 15th. I admit, and you are starting to know it, that I don't really like hiker's “highways”, those where you shout a breathless “bonjouuuur” every ten meters. I prefer when there is nobody, except local people, peasants, dogs, cats, hens (cows no, I prefer to avoid). It's better. Uh… except when I come across an old local holding a bunny, screaming (awful that cry) through his ears before stunning him for his evening dinner. yuck. A bit wild the Livradois. »
