Village des producteurs à Billom – 7 & 8 décembre 2024

More than 40 remarkable sites of taste meet in Billom in a village of producers to discover emblematic products and exceptional terroirs. Organized by the Champs d'ail de Billom, the event brings together producers from remarkable taste sites. 40 exhibitors then present sweets from the 4 corners of France. What to find ideas to slip under the tree, or to taste right away for the most impatient!

The label “remarkable sites of taste” is a French brand created in 1995. It brings together a hundred sites throughout France. The latter meet four criteria: an emblematic product of a territory, an exceptional heritage, remarkable landscapes, a welcome for the general public. The latter in order to understand how heritage, landscapes and people influence the product.

A market to bring them together almost all

The Producers' Village has been held in Billom for a few years. An unmissable event for label holders. At each edition, more than 40 remarkable sites of taste come together in the heart of the “Tuscany of Auvergne”.

Candied fruits

For three days, these ambassadors of taste and flavors from all regions of France share with the public the culinary riches of their region. The Producers' Village is then the possibility of exchanging with them, of being told about these emblematic products. To know them better in order to better appreciate them. Because everyone has their own history, their know-how.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a bite in the village of producers

At the Village des producteurs, tasting is exploring a region, guessing a landscape through the taste buds. The tasting areas will be the ideal place for gourmet breaks. Sandwiches and plates made by the producers are then so many sesames for trips to the four corners of the country. An ideal tour of France of French gastronomy before the end of year celebrations!

To conclude, listing the names of these products is like reading those of the countries on a world map: pink garlic from Billom and its black garlic, walnuts from Martel, Saint-Nectaire, andouille from Val d'Ajols, oysters from Cancale, candied fruits from Apt… And so many others.
