Balades, visites et restauration à la Jasserie du Coq Noir pour les groupes

Have you ever visited a chateau? This summer farm, specific to the Forez mountains, where the Fourme d'Ambert was produced.

Traditionally women spent the summer chatting; they were responsible for the herd and the production of Fourme d'Ambert.
The Jasserie du Coq Noir, all of stone and thatch, is admirably preserved. Although the layout has been redesigned, the old stable and the cheese cellar can be clearly seen on the ground floor.
Upstairs, a museum space under the thatched roof teaches you more about the daily life of the jasserie. Pretty windows explain the very particular functioning of summer pastures in the Haut-Forez.
Push open one of its heavy doors and enter the intimacy of a family in the summer pastures at the beginning of the century.
