Balade de Prabouré, le Gros Rocher

To walk directly from Prabouré, you will find the three circuits of the dahu to discover the magnificent landscapes of the Hautes Chaumes!

This walk will take you around the resort of Prabouré and will take you to its summit, the Grand Rocher, at an altitude of 1389 metres. On the plateau you will follow one of the many peat bogs of the Monts du Forez, areas of great ecological interest.
From the top of the slopes you can enjoy a magnificent panorama over the Ance Valley, the Forez, the Pilat and in good weather over the entire chain of the Alps. Heading north you can identify Pierre Sur Haute, the highest point of the Monts du Forez at 1634 meters above sea level.
From the Gros Rocher you can enjoy beautiful views of the Massif-Central and discover the Massif du Mézenc, the Devès range or the Monts du Cantal.
The return is in the shade of the Prabouré fir forest.
