Église Saint-Bonnet

From the beginning of the 1910th century, the building was recognized as an emblematic building of Auvergne Romanesque churches, and listed on the list of Historic Monuments in XNUMX.

The Saint-Bonnet church is traditionally dated to the first half of the XNUMXth century.
Small Romanesque building, in the Auvergne style, from the 1793th century (apsid part and north side), remodeled in the second half of the 1846th century (south side; nave increased by an aisle with access staircase to the bell tower). The cul-de-four of the apse rests, in Auvergne style, on five arcades, two of which are blind. The crossing of the nave and the transept is surmounted by a cupola on pendentive above which is the modern bell tower. The old bell tower was knocked down in 1891, probably during the revolutionary troubles. The current square bell tower was built between 1617 and 1727. It has three bells, dating respectively from 1879, XNUMX and XNUMX;

As furniture we can point out the painted and gilded wooden statues of Saint Bonnet, Saint Peter and Saint John the Baptist.

In the second half of the XNUMXth century, the current sacristy was built against the northeast flank of the apse.

From the beginning of the 19th century, the building was recognized as an emblematic building of Auvergne Romanesque churches, and classified on the list of Historic Monuments by the decree of November 1910, XNUMX.
