The Ferme des Supeyres is located on the heights of Ambert, not far from the Col des Supeyres and the vast expanses of the Hautes Chaumes du Forez. Manufacture and sale of raw cow's milk cheeses: fourme, mountain tomme and mountain honey
Managed by Antoine, Diane and Nicolas, the farm brings peasant traditions to life with:
- a quality breeding of Salers cows, for the meat
- the production of local farmhouse cheeses from the milk of Abondance cows.
- an apiary located entirely in the mountains.
The two herds are taken to the summer pastures on high altitude meadows from June to October.
The meat is sold by reservation, in cassettes or from local butchers.
Raw milk cow's cheeses (Fourme d'Ambert AOP, mountain tomme, etc.) are sold locally on the Thursday Ambert market. They are also found on good restaurants around Ambert.
The animals are grass-fed in the meadows around the farm and in the mountain pastures. In winter, they are fed with fodder produced on the farm. On the farm, we also raise our animals to renew the herds and sell breeding stock.
