At the Moulin Richard de Bas, children discover the fascinating history of paper made by hand for many centuries in Ambert. At the Manufacture d'Images, they participate in the development of this very useful and age-old material: paper.

In the programme :

10:30 a.m.: Moulin Richard de Bas (guided tour)
This mill, still in operation, produces more than 300 leaves every day. The guided tour takes the children on an original route, from the room with the hammers operated by the bucket wheel, to the dryer fitted out with full drying racks
sheets of paper.

12 p.m.: free lunch (picnic taken from the bag)

14 p.m.: the Manufacture d'Images (visit followed by a printout)
The children visit the Manufacture d'Images, a place of artistic production dedicated to prints and micro-publishing, in connection with the region's papermaking tradition. The visit consists of presenting the print and its different techniques: typography, screen printing, linocut and intaglio.
The children discover the extraordinary fate of Gutenberg's small lead characters and after a demonstration of the linocut technique they leave with a print.
