At the "Queen's Seat" a scree (rocky scree) shelters a rock which seems to have been dug in the shape of a throne; the granite material and the position consolidating the impression of sovereignty...
Geologically the scree is explained by the nature of the substrate (heterogeneous granite often with large crystals called "porphyries") and by the erosion mechanisms which "break up" the granite into large blocks.
On the other hand, we can only see the work of man in the origin of this "seat".
