Verre d'Auzelles - Atelier de vitrail

Glass has always fascinated men. They adorned their finest buildings with it. Transparency and color made it possible to animate the churches and to bring in the light so absent from the Romanesque buildings

But stained glass is also a secular art. The ancestral lead mounting method is known to everyone, but in 1870, Louis Comfort Tiffany became interested in glass work and created a new method of glass setting. Easier to implement, this method allows you to create small objects like jewelry. It is this method that is used at the workshop located in the heart of the village of Auzelles. By opening the door to the workshop, you will discover all the stages of creating an object, from the drawing of the template to the tin setting, including diamond cutting and grinding, how a glass plate becomes a lamp, mirror decor, jewelry, decorative object, window, etc.
Finally, the tea room welcomes visitors, hikers, cyclists, horse riders wishing to take a friendly and unpretentious break around the flavors of our territory opposite the Saint Blaise church. Just a nice moment to take a break. Young and old are welcome.
Marie-Paule Dauphin also offers a computer graphics activity (creation of flyers, posters, business cards, etc.)
