Introduction to the Tiffany Method
The ancestral lead mounting method is known to everyone. But stained glass is also a secular art. From 1870, Louis Comfort Tiffany became interested in glass work and created a new method of glass setting. Easier to implement, this method allows you to create small objects like jewelry. It is this method that is used at the workshop located in the heart of the village of Auzelles. By opening the door to the workshop, you will discover all the stages of creating an object, from the drawing of the template to the tin setting, including diamond cutting and grinding, how a glass plate becomes a lamp, mirror decor, jewelry, decorative object, window... Young and old are welcome.
