Festival Auzel'La Culture

The 27 July 2024

Meeting place: Espace Marc Renard

Founded in 2006 by Odile and François Clément, Le Concert Clément is an ensemble of variable geometry that can transform from a simple duo or trio to a true orchestral formation in the space of a concert.

The great singularity of this ensemble lies in its atypical composition, to say the least. Nine musicians united by strong family ties come together to bring a human touch to their music, a musical sensitivity exacerbated by an innate complicity. Two generations find themselves on equal footing to interpret universal music with the same breath, the same direction, the same look. Two parents, five children and two spouses.

François Clément, the father, was head of the great organ of the cathedral of Clermont-Ferrand, and professor at the regional Conservatory of Clermont-Ferrand.

Odile Clément, the mother, met François during his organ studies. After raising her six children, she is now principal oboe of the Auvergne University Orchestra, and plays with the Harmonie de Chamalières.
The child musicians make up the ensemble.
Antoine plays the horn.
Marie Van Wynsberge-Clément, plays the double bass and has won several international awards. She has a career as an international soloist, instrumentalist and teacher. Jérôme Van Wynsberge, her husband, plays the transverse flute. Passionate about chamber music, he is a professor at the Romainville Departmental Conservatory.
Agnès is solo harpist at the Brussels Opera Orchestra. After winning numerous international awards, she performs as a soloist around the world. She was nicknamed “the new international star” by the American magazine Harp Column. Julius, her husband is a cellist in the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra.
Hélène leads an international career as a violist with the renowned Doric Quartet in London. She teaches viola at The Royal Academy in London and plays regularly as a soloist.
Finally, Anne is a violinist in the Pays de Loire National Orchestra.
