The prehistoric site of Enval includes several rock shelters. It has been known for more than a century for its Magdalenian occupation and has been the subject of several excavation campaigns. It is a major Upper Paleolithic site in Auvergne.
Discover the prehistoric site of Enval, whose recent excavation campaigns led by Frédéric Surmely, heritage curator and doctor in Prehistory, have made it possible to collect very abundant furniture (flint tools, engraved plaques, shaped objects of adornment on teeth and fossil shells, etc.) testifying to contacts with distant regions. On the occasion of the preparation of the illustrated monograph devoted to this great prehistoric site, the archaeologist offers a guided tour on site.
