Come and discover the Moulin d'Ancette, restored by the Friends of Saint Julien d'Ance association. You will discover in action a complete set of milling still being renovated: water drive with horizontal wheel, grinding wheel and sieve.
Located in a hamlet below the town of Saint-Julien d'Ance, the origins of the Ancette mill date back to 1345. It was when it was rebuilt in 1868 that it acquired its current outline.
The mill ran professionally until before the war, then for domestic purposes (animal feed) until 1976. In 1991, the Friends of Saint-Julien-d'Ance association set itself the goal of to revive the local heritage, including the mill. Since then, the latter has been running again during organized tours.
