A true ode to nature and life, the work of Jean Giono, The Man Who Planted Trees is today considered a true ecological and humanist manifesto. To stage and set this strong text to music, an actor accompanied by three musicians perform works by Ravel, Beethoven and even Schubert. Texts and music mingle, intertwine, feed each other without interfering. The reading to music then becomes a total spectacle, in which the novel takes on theatrical life, through the words of the actor and the music which takes the place of scenography. A poetic, sensitive and optimistic spectacle, which leaves to our imagination all the pleasure of flying towards landscapes all the more beautiful as they are illusory.
