Festival Voix & Patrimoines - Concert des Mécanos

With the participation of residents of the ESAT of Égliseneuve and the intercommunal music school. An explosive concert and an exhibition await you on an industrial heritage site!

We no longer present the Saint-Etienne ensemble!
“Les Mécanos” popular songs in polyphony and wheeled percussion which floods its audience with magnificent vocal and instrumental vibrations. Come listen and watch these 10 human voices and pairs of hands who manipulate scrap metal and stretched skins to create polyphonic rhythms whose repertoire comes from the songs of workers and struggles.
These artists/factory workers will be accompanied by percussionists from the music school and visually impaired residents of the Escolore center who have worked with them all year to accompany them on some pieces.
This concert and a magnificent exhibition on the theme of industrial heritage are the result of a proposal made by the department of Puy-de-Dôme as part of the “Voix & Patrimoines” festival in partnership with the Communities of Communes of Thiers Dore and Montagne and Ambert Livradois Forez.
