Morning: Open the door of the Fourme and Traditions museum in Sauvain and come discover life in the past in the Forez mountains: the pastoral mountain,
the manufacture of fourme, the harvest of gentian and blueberry, rye “from sowing to black bread”, hemp and wool (collection of spinning wheels), pit sawyers, clog making, Forézian trees and forge: wheelwright and farrier. A
swing saw is animated with sound and light.

The little extra Tasting of fourme on rye bread.

Lunch at a local inn.

Afternoon: Visit to the Moulin des Massons in Saint-Bonnet-le-Courreau. In a real 17th century water mill, the rapeseeds are crushed, roasted
and pressed like in the old days to help you discover authentic flavors. Meet the “grease” from the mill and witness, right before your eyes, the production of roasted rapeseed, walnut or hazelnut oils. A true immersion into the heart of the senses.

The little extra: Tasting of different oils.
