The mountain is in the spotlight during these 2 days in the heart of nature. Walks in the forest, relaxation or exploration activities, listening to and observing the mountains: total immersion at altitude for an extraordinary stay.

Program

Day 1: Discovery of the mountain forest
At an altitude of 1 m, the Col de la Loge offers an exceptional playground for children: little explorers set off to discover the forest environment and its ecosystem.

10:30 a.m.: welcome at the Col de la Loge
• Animation 1: the forest of the 5 senses
The group approaches the world of the forest through the 5 senses. An original and educational way to get in touch with the forest through different approaches: Ariadne's thread, time for listening and storytelling, guided barefoot walking and relaxation time in the forest.

• Animation 2: traces and clues, the inhabitants of the forest The apprentice detectives look for traces of animal presence and deduce their passages from clues: footprints, excrement, leftover meals... Using identification keys , they establish the list of animal species present in this forest.

12:30 p.m.: lunch (picnic taken from the bag)

• Animation 3: the forest of sounds
During a walk, the small group listens to the musical potential of nature and its inhabitants.

• Animation 4: meet the little mountain owls
The children are interested in small mountain owls: the life cycle, the habitat, the search for lodges... They also approach the notion of umbrella species in biodiversity.

16 p.m.: end of entertainment
Departure for the holiday village “Là Ô! » in Brugeron (accommodation center approved by the National Education for the reception of school groups)

Day 2: the Hautes-Chaumes of Forez
At the Col du Béal, at an altitude of 1 m, children learn all the secrets of the HautesChaumes: a Natura 390 classified site and a natural area of ​​ecological, faunal and floristic interest. They understand the different ecosystems of this subalpine level by changing the angle of their point of view and their relationship to the environment.

9:30 a.m.: meeting at the Col du Béal
• Animation 1: the mountain seen from a “little” beast The children see the characteristics of the mountain from the point of view of the “little” beasts, then understand the diversity of flora and the role of insects in subalpine heaths. Finally, they approach the reading of landscape and the search for elements from a “macro” vision.

• Animation 2: the mountain seen from a bird's eye view
In parallel with the animation at sight of "small" animals, the animator takes the children on a large photo treasure hunt from a bird's eye view, in order to approach the different environments encountered and to associate emblematic birds with them.

12:30 p.m. to 14:15 p.m.: lunch (provided by accommodation)

• Animation 3: The mountain seen from a man The mountain is populated by insects, birds and mammals of all kinds, but not only: it is also marked by human presence. The children look for elements related to human activity and approach the notion of mountain pastures.

16 p.m.: end of entertainment
