Finally, in terms of outdoor activities, you can enjoy the surroundings and discover the beauty of the Parc du Livradois Forez on foot, by bike, on horseback and in many other ways.
Located 20 minutes from the city of Ambert, 40 minutes from Thiers and 1 hour from Clermont-Ferrand (accessible from the axis linking Ambert to Clermont-Ferrand and Thiers), Le Marcepoil gite welcomes you for a stay in the heart of Regional Natural Park of Livradois Forez.
Located in the heart of nature, it will offer you a moment of rejuvenation where you can take advantage of the garden and the pools to relax as well as the surrounding pedestrian and cycle paths for walking.
The two fully furnished and comfortable gîtes offer accommodation for 4 to 6 people each, or for 10-12 people in full rental.
The terrace gîte is on one level while the panorama gîte is on 2 levels.
Both accommodations offer breathtaking views of the countryside and the village of Saint Amant Roche Savine, with the highest point of Forez and the resort of Chalmazel in the background.
During your stay, you can discover many activities and visits around the lodges:
- From the gîte, on foot or by bike, marked paths crossing the countryside and the hamlets.
- 1 km from the cottage, at the Toutée pass, hiking or mountain biking trails as well as the Martibusse tree climbing park.
- 5 km towards Cunlhat, the Adada donkey shelter and the Henriette restaurant.
- 5 km towards Saint-Amant-Roche-Savine, in the hamlet of Fournier, the local brewery Fornabera.
- 10 km away, the Cunlhat lake with swimming, fishing and pedalo hire, as well as the main shops and services.
- 15 km away, Ambert where you will find the vélorail which will offer you a family outing as well as the leisure area which will allow you to refresh yourself on the banks of the Dore. Ambert also presents all the services and shops as well as many restaurants.
- About 35 km away, the resorts of Chalmazel and Prabouré where in summer and winter you can discover sporting and fun activities.
- Finally, the cities of Thiers, Saint-Etienne and Clermont-Ferrand about 1 hour away, will allow you to enjoy a historical and architectural visit around their specificities and heritage riches.

The rural environment and the presence of animals nearby do not allow us to admit pets with complete peace of mind.
Bed and bathroom linen can be provided for an additional €20 per person (full set).
A cleaning fee will apply at the end of the stay in order to guarantee the cleanliness of the premises for subsequent visitors and to respect the sanitary measures imposed post-covid. This package includes the cleaning and disinfection of rooms, the cleaning and disinfection of household linen, the clearing of garbage cans and the storage of dishes. This package is included in the rental price.
We can wash your linen at the rate of 5 € per wash.
