Le Centre Culturel le Bief

Place for cultural experiments in the region. Le Bief is putting in place a program of shows and visual arts (prints, engravings). It is an association which works to disseminate culture to the widest possible audience.

CULTURAL EXPERIMENTS AND ACTIONS
From its headquarters, in the heart of the town of Ambert, multiple actions take place: home shows, intergenerational projects, artistic immersions within institutions, actions with schools, multiple workshops for young and old (dance, theater, visual arts, singing, music).

ACCOMPANIMENT OF ARTISTS FROM HERE AND ELSEWHERE
Le Bief stimulates a dynamic of artistic creation in the region with artist residencies and support actions (training, residency).
Its place of artistic production dedicated to prints and micropublishing, linked to the region's papermaking tradition, will amaze you. Its gallery hosts temporary exhibitions and a shop collecting the works of visual artists from here and elsewhere.

HIGHLIGHTS AT THE CROSSROADS OF VISUAL ARTS AND PERFORMING ARTS
Two major events organized by the Bief take place each year, allowing the two areas of activity of the Bief to be combined (performing arts and graphic arts). The Good Impression Festival and Les Vitrines qui Parlent (in partnership with other associations). This year Le Bief is offering a “mini” version of the Bonne Impression on May 25, 2024. Les Vitrines qui Parlent awaits you on June 8 and 9 in Arlanc for a surprising artistic encounter around “travel”.
The Bief HQ is located in the city center, and consists of our offices, workshops and the public reception area. Come meet us, visit the store and the exhibition gallery. Free admission.
