Les Sens en Herbe - Distillation de plantes médicinales

Come and discover the Les Sens en Herbe farm located in the heart of Livradois Forez, its organic essential oils and organic hydrosols. This visit is an opportunity to share with a peasant distiller the secrets of medicinal plants and distillation.

In 1h30 we will explore the crops, the distillery and meet the animals. You will understand the magic of essential oils and hydrosols, from their manufacture to their use.

Groups are welcomed near the distillery. Then, we walk together on the plots of the farm to discover the different cultivated plants and their specificities, taste them, smell them and learn how to use them to treat us. We meet Quarmina and Daisy the mares who help us gently till the soil using animal traction. Children, remember to bring some bread, these mares are very greedy.

Then, when the Auvergne sun has warmed us well, we head to the distillery to discover the still and the wood boiler. We are going to tame distillation together. Throughout the visit we discuss the use of essential oils and hydrosols, how to use them and what their properties are. Finally, you can discover the shop and our various certified organic and SIMPLE products.
