Exposition temporaire Robert DOISNEAU "Les doigts pleins d'encre"

Temporary exhibition of 30 original photographs by Robert Doisneau taken after the war on the theme of childhood and school to be discovered freely from June 1 to September 29, 2024 within the tour route of La Chaise-Dieu Abbey .

“For the last in class and the first in the street”… exhibition created in 1989 on the occasion of the release of the eponymous book by François Cavanna.
What Doisneau photographed before and after the war by going to classes or capturing unforgettable images in the street, Cavanna had experienced. He could have been any of these kids photographed in a row, at the blackboard, seated at a wooden desk or running away after ringing a bell in the street. All these moving and funny images inspired him to write a text where he tells us about the life of the kids from Doisneau in short pants and crowned knees.

Entrance fee included in the museum tour visit ticket at €10 or exhibition visit alone at €7

Guided tour with speaker on Thursdays and Sundays at 16 p.m. (1 a.m.) from June 1 to August 17 and from September 02 to 29 as well as Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from August 18 to September 1.
