The Cité de l'Abeille is a "bee farm" located in the heart of the Thiers mountain. Honeys and the manufacture of honey specialties are to be tasted. The guided tour allows you to discover the world of bees.

Professional beekeepers for 38 years, we welcome you on site both for the sale of our products and to show you around our premises and our hives. The workers of this small, friendly family town harvest 25 km around, mountain honey, part of which is used to make specialties: chocolate, nougat, apis bread, toast, sorbets, pastries. The apple juice offered as a refreshment comes from the orchard whose flowers receive a beneficial visit from pollinating bees. A tour guided by the beekeeper, through glass hives, a slideshow, a museum of old hives, the honey house, the opening of a living hive, allows you to know “everything” about bees, honey and beekeeper! A shelter as well as a games and picnic area are available to visitors.

Visits in July and August at 16 p.m. and on weekends by appointment. Except July/August: all periods also by appointment.
By appointment, we offer a workshop around beeswax; shaping of the wax "From the mummy to the candle".
